Meet the Maker

Hello, I am J.Y. (JungAh Yi), the maker behind EKRJ Jewelry.

I am originally from South Korea and now live in Ottawa, Canada.

My Korean background has given me a deep sense of dedication, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
Here in Canada, I have found inspiration and joy in the warmth and inclusiveness of the community.

I began making jewelry in 2008 in Korea and now continue my creative journey here in Canada.
I run my online shop and also take part in local Ottawa markets where I have the pleasure of meeting many of you in person.
Your love and support allow me to keep doing what I love and live a meaningful life through my work.

The name EKRJ comes from the Korean word Eun Ka Rak Ji, which means silver ring.
Silver rings have long represented trust, identity, and love in many cultures, and I hope my jewelry can carry those meanings as well.

Every piece of EKRJ jewelry is made entirely by hand from start to finish. I design, craft, photograph, and prepare each piece with care and sincerity.

For me, jewelry is not only something to wear.
It is something that holds stories, memories, and emotions.
